Textile Recycling

Each year, a mountain of clothing is thrown away due to short-lived fashion. Tons of clothing end up in landfills, where they decompose over a period of 1 to 200 years, emitting harmful gases. This is not only bad for the environment, but it also wastes an opportunity to turn valuable clothing fibers into new products.
Over 95% of all textiles can be recycled or reused in some way. Reclaimed fibers from old fabrics can be used to make new garments. They can also be reused to make a variety of other items including foot mats, bottle covers, laundry bags, high-quality paper, car insulation, etc.
